Internet Mileage Log

The application provides automatic creation of mileage logs for monitored vehicles with the possibility of subsequent processing by the user.

With the use of additional functions, the movements of vehicles can be evaluated, shown on maps, emphasized in the form of graphs and the selected data can be exported as a data file or print report. Another possibility is the importing of information regarding fueling.
From any computer connected to the Internet and running a browser, following input authorization, the mileage log can be worked with without the necessity of purchasing software or maps.

Description Internet Mileage Log

This can be used for creating records of journeys and the subsequent statistical processing of these. The advantage of this arrangement is that the user only requires a minimum amount of equipment for a “basic workstation”, which also lowers the implementation cost. All that is required is an Internet browser with permissions using JavaScript = MS Internet Explorer version 8.0 (or higher) or Mozilla FireFox version 3.0 (or higher) and a connection to the Internet for the computer.
Information regarding vehicles is then available wherever these conditions are met (at work, home, an Internet cafe, on the road using a mobile connection and a laptop...).
The operational capability and undemanding nature when maintaining all functions of the system are the primary characteristics of the Internet Mileage Log.

Basic Information

The mileage log can be employed locally, in an intranet version as well as Internet version. If the mileage log is not running concurrently with the RACAR system, it takes over some of that system’s functions.

The Mileage Log enables the processing of information sent from moving units to the RACAR system or from a binary file containing records from the unit. The location of the unit is determined via the GPS satellite system. This system enables very precise determination of the position of a vehicle anywhere in the world.

Functionality of the Mileage log

Checking of driving style is secured by monitoring fuel consumption and maximum and average speeds.
Efficiency is ensured by percentage and time use of the vehicle per day or month.

Cost is calculated from input information:

Time cost per hour of driving
Time cost per hour of idle time
Time cost per hour of motor hours
Fixed costs (write-offs) per kilometer
Price of fuel per liter
